Stanley Park alone will take a full day or two to explore with the Vancouver Aquarium at its’ heart.  Fun for the whole family from the petting zoo to the miniature train, take a ride on the horse drawn carriage.  The seawall is 8.8 km (5.5 mi) and circles the whole park.  Popular with runners, cyclers and walkers; even roller bladders can be see zipping by on the path. 

There are music festivals, children’s festivals, concerts in the park and on the beaches.  One of the most popular festivals is “Bard on the Beach” a Shakespeare Festival that is an annual event that has been in existence for 20 years. 

The north shore is also spectacular.  Just a short distance over either the Lions Gate Bridge or the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge, take a ride on the famed Grouse Mountain Skyride or cross the Capilano Suspension Bridge.  Don’t forget your camera as the views and scenery are one of a kind.  There are many camping spots on the north shore. 

From here you can head up to Whistler and explore even more that nature has to offer.  Home of the 2010 games in Feb 09, Whistler is a top world tourist destination. 

Vancouver Island is another location that you don’t want to miss while you are in southern B.C.  The Butchart Gardens are world renowned for their variety of plants and flowers.  Vancouver Island is also home to Victoria, the capital of British Columbia and some of the best RV parks in the province.  Whether it’s camping in Tofino or Sidney, the scenery is absolutely stunning on the whole island.
